We are proud to announce that our Manitoba office is the recipient of the Ritchot Chamber of Commerce Corporate Volunteerism of the Year Award for their ‘Adopt-a-Highway’ clean up initiative.

This involved adopting a stretch of highway spanning a total of 24 kms north and south of head office and cleaning the ditches. The clean-up took place this past spring and staff spent countless hours teaming-up for the not-so-glamorous job of picking trash in the ditches that had become heavily polluted from garbage trucks traveling to Winnipeg. Not a fun task, particularly in this year’s bitter-cold Manitoba spring, but our staff found some “interesting” items (to say the least) and agreed that it was gratifying to do their part for the environment. It was especially rewarding that this work did not go unnoticed by passer-byes honking in approval, or by the community in general with all of the positive comments and feedback received.

The award was handed out at the Annual Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Gala held on Saturday November, 16.  Titan extends a heartfelt thanks to the Chamber of Commerce for this recognition, and to all staff who participated and helped make this accomplishment possible.  We would also like to acknowledge and congratulate fellow nominees,  Adventure Power Products and Quality Mobile Truck & Trailer Repair for their outstanding contributions to the community.
